Portrait Procedure

Guy Rosati's skills as a fine artist were developed mainly from painting portraits.

Painting a person's portrait requires careful study of the subject's facial features and shape, skin tones, and overall aspects that make that person's appearance unique.

When painting a portrait it's very important to capture accurately the features of the person's face to achieve best results.
Sometimes even small changes in the size and placement of the main features, such as the eyes, the nose, and the mouth, can result in major departure from the intended likeness of the person.

Guy Rosati paints portraits primarily from photographic references.

For Florida Clients, Rosati can make arrangements to travel to the Client's home for a photographic session, as well as meeting in person with the person or persons to be painted.

It's very important to have good quality photos in order to be able to see all the facial details to create an accurate portrait of the person.

For long-distance clients arrangements are made to send one or more quality photographs of the person to be painted.

For larger projects Rosati can travel to other areas of the U.S. to meet in person with a Client. Travel and lodging costs will be added to the cost of the portrait.

Pricing for portrait paintings ranges between $2,900 to $9,500, depending on size of portrait, number of subjects, and complexity of painting.
Larger projects or promotional projects may be priced higher.

A deposit is required to begin a portrait commission, with the balance to be paid upon completion of the painting and full satisfaction of the Client.
